I play left-handed due to a left hand injury, so I ordered the AEROBAND MIDI GUITAR so I could essentially play both left-handed and right-handed! It's surely a different method of playing an unmovable strings, but the fact that I can play right-handed is a real blessing! This isnt a true replacement for a real guitar (I play strictly acoustic), but it does open the door for ambidextrous playing! I personally think that the C1viner is the coolest sound on this thing. I haven't hooked it up to my computer yet, so I can't speak to how it sounds concerning that. The speaker is good and loud, and I really like the capo feature. The neck on my AEROBAND is really, REALLY hard to disconnect! The case is awesome, and the accessories are awesome feature. For some reason I thought a guitar strap was included with my purchase, but I didn't receive one. Overall I'm glad I have this in my arsenal, it's a fun musical addition!

This is a fantastic way to play a string instrument in a completely new way. I originally bought the Aeroband guitar because I wanted a reliable instrument for MIDI transcription in Logic and Ableton, and especially for notating guitar music in Finale and Sibelius. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because the hammer-on and pull-off functions can be a little wonky – but that's fine. If I need that kind of nuance, I'll use a real guitar. I enjoy the discipline of playing clean, individual notes, and as a pianist and keyboard player, the 'one fret equals one note' logic makes perfect sense to me. It is also wonderful for improvising finger-picking patterns in eighth notes across both common and unusual time signatures. As a controller, it's surprisingly accurate. My workflow has improved tremendously since using it, and I plan to stick with it. I think it's going to become quite popular, and I look forward to its continued evolution.

I ordered the AeroBand guitar shortly after turning 70. In the 3 year run up to that I had been diagnosed with De Quervains AND Dupuytren's in both hands. Needless to say I was having a very difficult time playing any of my 8 guitars. I ran across Aeroband on Facebook. I was intrigued and ordered one. With the light fretboard touch required I can actually play and have fun again. No, it's not a real guitar...can't bend strings...but initially I didn't care, particularly with all the fun sounds available...especially banjo and piano which I have no idea what to do with...but I do it anyway. LOL All we need are more colors. I saw a video at the recent NAMM and they had a blue and pink model. I would have LOVED that option in real life.
